Preparatory work

This is necessary to determine the features of the table model and its parameters.

Assembling the transformer table

As a result of fastening the 4 parts of the frame, you should get a rectangular box in which there is neither cover nor bottom.

A folding mechanism is attached to the frame. This element has a sufficiently large weight, so for its attachment it is necessary to make through holes in the frame. Fasteners will be hidden in the future with their feet, so you can not worry about the fact that they will be visible and make the coffee table less attractive. Fastening is performed on the bolts.

Next, the legs are made. Each leg is 2 parts connected at a right angle with the help of several small corners. After the details of the legs are fastened, you can proceed to their installation on the frame. To do this, make a mark in the frame for the holes, drill holes and fix the legs on the metal bushings.

Then you need to proceed to the assembly of the tabletop.To fold out and fold it up easily, you need to use quality, reliable hinges. 2 details of the table top need to be folded facing each other and on the one hand mark the places that need to be drilled for fixing the hinges. Fasteners of hinges are inserted into ready openings and twisted. The small board, on which the decomposed tabletop will rest, is attached to the folding mechanism and only after that the assembled tabletop is attached.
