How to level the floor on the balcony

If the surface distortions are minor, then You can level the surface using the stacking of sheet materials, for example, thick plywood. This refers to plywood from 2 cm.

• First, you need to free the balcony from unnecessary objects and prepare the surface. The floor of the balcony should be swept with a small brush, but it is better not to regret the vacuum cleaner and walk it.
• Then the area measurement queue follows. In most cases, the placement of the balcony does not differ in volume or complexity of the geometry, so there should also not be difficulties.
• In accordance with the sizes obtained, sheets of plywood are laid out and sawn. To do this, it is most convenient to use jigsaw, but you can do with a simple hacksaw with a small tooth.
• The obtained plywood plates are laid on the surface, pre-covered with a layer of insulation (almost any rolled material will suit) and fixed with the help of anchors.

• Then a waterproofing layer is laid on the surface. It is worth adding that you can choose a material that will not only serve to waterproof the surface, but also help to retain heat. For example, such material may be rolled foil insulation used for facades.
• Next, beacons are mounted on the surface. You can use profile slats. At the same time you need to monitor the horizontal position of their location.
• Then the mixture itself is prepared for the screed and poured between the lighthouses.
• Then, using the rule, which can be used as the same rail, the mixture is evenly distributed over the entire area between the beacons.
• When the mixture grabs, the lighthouses are removed, and the space remaining from them is filled with a solution.
