- technical specifications and scope of application + Video

One of the important points in any construction is waterproofing. If proper protection of materials and structures against moisture is not provided for, the service life of the structure will not be long. And soon, the strength of the structure may be reduced to a critical level. So, if you do not waterproof the concrete structure, after 5-6 years, this very structure will begin to collapse. Corrosion will penetrate the concrete first for a short distance. And after two decades, it will reach a depth of 1.5 meters.

Now there is a huge variety of waterproofing materials that allow you to reliably protect the building from moisture. However, in the first place is still waterproofing, the technical characteristics of which allows to increase the service life of materials many times.

Material Characteristics

Gidroizol is a waterproofing and roofing material. Is one of the most economical options for waterproofing. As a rule, this biostable material is supplied in roll form and has no cover. The width of the coils of waterproofing on average is 0. 95 m, and the length is 10-20 m. All the necessary requirements for this material contains GOST-7415-86.

If the waterproofing is of high quality, then it should be black in the section. At the same time the surface is as smooth as possible. At the heart of waterproofing most often is fiberglass or fiberglass. High-quality special bitumen binder is applied to this base from above and below. Further, a special polymer film is applied to the lower part. The same film can be applied to the upper part. Also, large mineral dressing is often used instead. It is important to note that all materials used in the basis of waterproofing are completely not subject to rotting. And the service life of this building material is 10-12 years.

There are 6 types of waterproofing, depending on what components it is made for and for what purpose. Each type of waterproofing is marked by letters where:

  • X - means that the base of the waterproofing fiberglass;
  • T - means the base fiberglass;
  • P - means that a polymer film is used as a coating;
  • K - this means the coating is a coarse-grained mineral type dressing.

In accordance with these I have the following brands:

  • TCH - designed to form the top layer of the roof;
  • CCI - designed to create the lower layer of the roof and is a universal insulation;
  • HKP - can be used as the top layer of roofing insulation;
  • HSP - is a waterproofing material of a universal type;
  • RPC - used as the top layer of the roof;
  • EPP - used as a universal waterproofing material.

Depending on the scope of use, the following two grades of waterproofing are distinguished:

  • GI-K - waterproofing of the roofing type intended for forming the roofing carpet of flat roofing systems .
  • ГИ-Г - intended for use and waterproofing of underground parts of buildings and structures, as well as various pipelines protecting against corrosion processes.

Depending on the grade of the waterproofing, its technical characteristics are also reflected in the table:

Parameters GI-K GI-G
Water absorption in 24 hours,% 8 6
Tensile strength under tension in the longitudinal direction, kg. with 30 35
Temperature of fragility of impregnating bitumen, 0 C - 15
Softening temperature of the impregnating bitumen, 0 С. 47 - 55
Waterproof at 0.05 MPa pressure, min. 10 15

Benefits

Gidroizol is distinguished by its quality indicators and reasonable price precisely because of its special composition and manufacturing technology. And when using various additional elements, it is possible to influence the characteristics of this material.

So, if hydroisol is applied with mineral sprinkling, the resistance of the roof to mechanical damage, exposure to ultraviolet radiation and other unfavorable natural circumstances will increase. In addition, waterproofing, the characteristics of which are very good, can increase the fire resistance of the roof and increase the evaporation of moisture.

This building material can withstand a wide range of temperatures - from the lowest to the highest. And to engage in the installation of the roof is permissible at low temperatures. It is also important that with strong wind and rain, the roof with waterproofing does not "make noise".

Area of application

Gidroizol, the application of which is carried out very widely, can be operated in various fields of construction.In addition to the most popular application - the creation of the roof - hydroglass is used in waterproofing the foundation, basements, pipes and other problem areas.

This building material becomes an excellent solution to protect objects such as wells, tunnels, bridges, and pools from destruction. Often waterproofing comes to the rescue in the case of underground structures, where protection of metal structures from corrosion is necessary. And even with such a high demand, the price of Glassglass remains within the bounds of availability - approximately 340-450 rubles per roll.

To summarize, it can be used for waterproofing the following objects:

  • Roofs;
  • Foundations;
  • Walls basements;
  • Overlaps;
  • Pools;
  • Main pipelines;
  • Various designs;

Storage Conditions

Like many other building materials, waterproofing requires special storage conditions. So, rolls of waterproofing should be stored on specialized pallets in an upright position. At the same time, they should all be sorted by brand. It is advisable to store this material indoors. If this is so important, it is allowed to keep the waterproofing in an open area, but not for long.

It is important to remember that the distance from hydraulic glass to heating devices must be at least one meter. Moreover, if there is a need, non-long-term storage of rolls in two rows is allowed when the position is vertical. And not long-term storage in an upright position. The height should not be more than five rows.
