After moving to the one-room "Khrushchev", which did not make repairs from the time of construction, we firmly decided to get rid of a completely unnecessary window in the wall, located between the kitchen and bathroom. This window spoiled the entire interior of the kitchen, and did not perform any functions necessary for us. Next, we will tell how to close the window between the bathroom and the kitchen on their own.
First you need to remove the glass
First we set the glass.
The process of dismantling the platbands looked like this
Then the platbands were broken using improvised means.
Then they knocked out the frame
The frame was knocked out with an ordinary hammer.
The wall was concrete
To our surprise, the walls in the bathroom turned out to be concrete, although the house is brick and the rest of the internal partitions in the apartment were also laid out of brick.
When the window opening was released, it was decided to lay it with bricks.
The window opening was laid with bricks
The upper part of the masonry was made of pieces of brick. You can see the result in the photo above (the photo of the brickwork was taken from the bathroom).
The brickwork was plastered
Then the brickwork was lined with plaster. It remains to stick the wallpaper, and we got a completely flat and beautiful wall in the kitchen.
The result obtained has pleased
It is possible that our illustrative photos will help you.
